Only the FCA updates that apply to your firm.
Enter your firm reference number (FRN). Every Friday I'll email you the new FCA publications that cover the work your firm does, each with a short plain-English summary and any deadline. It's free.
In the last four weeks the FCA published 35 items. A typical IFA needed to know about 7 of them.
Your firm reference number is on your FCA Register entry and usually in your website footer.
What the Friday email looks like.
The items that clearly apply to you come first. Each one has a short summary, says whether you need to do anything, and links to the FCA's own page. For a typical IFA that's one or two items a week.

Know what the FCA has changed before anyone has to tell you.
How it works.
- 1Enter your FRNI look your firm up on the FCA Register to see what it's permitted to do. If you're an appointed representative, I use your principal firm's permissions.
- 2I check each new FCA publicationEvery morning I look at what the FCA has published and pick out anything that covers your permissions. A mortgage-only firm won't be sent pension items.
- 3You get one email on FridayIt arrives at 7am. If nothing applies to you that week, the email says so in one line.
Questions advisers ask
Is it free?
Yes. All I need is your email address and your FRN.
Does it replace my compliance support?
No. Keep using your compliance consultant, network or principal for advice. This email tells you what the FCA has published each week, so you can ask them about it sooner.
I'm an appointed representative. Does it work for me?
Yes. Appointed representatives don't have their own permissions on the FCA Register, so I use your principal firm's. The preview shows which principal I found, so you can check it's right.
How does it decide what applies to me?
I take your firm's permissions from the FCA Register. When the FCA publishes something, an AI model called Jev checks whether it covers each kind of permission. If it's a close call, the item goes under "May also be relevant" so you still see it. Another AI model, Claude, writes the summary. Each item links to the FCA's original, and that's the one to rely on.
Which FCA publications does it cover?
Anything the FCA publishes for firms: consultations, new rules and guidance, Dear CEO letters, reviews of how firms are doing things, and its news and speeches. Scam warnings, research papers and the FCA's own corporate reports are left out.
What do you do with my data?
I keep your email address, your FRN and a record of the emails I've sent you, and use them only to send this email. I don't share or sell them. Your firm's details come from the public FCA Register. The privacy policy has the full detail.
How do I unsubscribe?
Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. The emails stop straight away, and you don't need to log in.
Is this from the FCA?
No. I'm not connected to the FCA and it doesn't endorse this. I read what it publishes and send you the parts that match your firm. Check the original before you act on anything.
