I'm Tom, a web designer based in Cardiff, about an hour along the M4 from Swansea. I build custom websites for Swansea businesses from £600, meet in person when it helps and work over video calls when it doesn't. Most sites are live about two weeks after our first call.

Copr Bay brought the 3,500-seat Swansea Arena, Castle Square is being rebuilt as a greener public space, and The Kingsway has new offices aimed at tech and digital firms. From the Maritime Quarter and SA1 out to Mumbles and Gower, that means more visitors and more competition. The closest site I've built is for JC Hair Solutions in Porthcawl, about half an hour east of the city.

How much does a website cost for a Swansea business?
A custom-built site is £600 and a WordPress site is £800, both paid upfront and covering all the pages a typical small business needs, plus hosting and care from £10 a month. You can also pay £99 a month all in, with nothing upfront and a 12-month minimum. There's no extra charge for being further from Cardiff.
With the city centre changing so much, how do I get noticed online?
The work around Copr Bay and Castle Square is bringing more people into the city, and more competition with them. I focus on fast loading, clear design and the local SEO basics, so when someone searches for what you do in Swansea, your business is easy to find.
Can you help my Mumbles or Gower business get found by visitors?
Yes. Visitors usually search 'near me' on their phones, often on patchy signal along the coast. A site that loads quickly and puts your opening times, menu or booking details up front makes it easy for them to choose you.
Do you meet Swansea clients in person?
I can. Swansea is about an hour from me, so I'm happy to come over to plan your project. Most of the work after that happens over email and video calls, which many clients find easier anyway.
