How I build websites.
Most websites go from our first call to a live site in about two weeks. Here's every step, so you always know what happens next and what I need from you.
1. A first call
Every project starts with a friendly chat of about 30 to 45 minutes, in person or over video. I get to know your business, your customers and what you want the website to do. There's no pressure, and I'll tell you honestly if I'm not the right fit.

- Which kind of site suits you: custom-built or WordPress
- A clear price before anything starts
2. Planning
Once we've agreed to go ahead, I plan the structure of your site: which pages it needs, what each one should say, and where people get in touch. This makes sure the site works for your business, not just looks nice. We also agree a realistic launch date.
3. Design
I design your homepage first, for phones and desktops, so you can see how the site will look and feel. You tell me what you think, and I refine it until you're happy before I build the rest.
4. Build
With the design agreed, I build the site. For most businesses I recommend a custom-built Next.js site, from £600, because it's fast and needs very little looking after. If you'd rather edit the content yourself, I build it in WordPress instead, for £800. Either way, I keep you posted as it comes together.

5. Review
You get a private preview link to look over everything. I work through your feedback, test the site on different browsers and devices, check its speed, and make changes until you're happy with it.
6. Launch
When you're happy, I put the site live. I handle the technical side, including your domain, the SSL certificate and hosting, and set up Google Search Console so we can see how the site is found.
7. Handover
On a WordPress site, I show you how to update your own content and leave you simple notes. On a custom-built site, you just tell me what you'd like changed and I do it. Either way, you'll know exactly who does what.
8. After launch
Every site includes a month of support after launch. After that, my care plans keep your site hosted, backed up, secure and up to date from £10 a month, with no contract.
How long does it all take?
Most sites are live about two weeks after our first call. Bigger sites take longer, and the timing also depends on how quickly you can send content and feedback. I'll give you a realistic date upfront, and I usually reply within about an hour during the working day.
