How do you display ACCA, ICAEW or AAT membership?
Following each body's own guidelines on logo use, usually in the header or footer, with membership details on your About page. The details come from you, and I'll make sure the logos are used the way your body allows.
Should I put my prices on the website?
It's up to you. Some accountants prefer to talk about fees in person. Others find that showing starting prices or packages filters out enquiries that aren't a good fit and attracts clients who are. If you want prices on the site, I'll set them out clearly.
Can you include Making Tax Digital content?
Yes. MTD is a common worry for your clients, so a page explaining what it means for them, which software you use, such as Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent, and how you help them comply is useful to them and helps people searching about it find you.
How much does an accountant's website cost?
A custom-built site is £600 and a WordPress site is £800, both paid upfront, half to start and half when you're happy and it's live, plus hosting and care from £10 a month. Each includes a design of your own, all the pages a typical small business needs, the SEO basics, an SSL certificate and a month of support after launch. Or pay £99 a month, all in, with nothing upfront. Care plans for hosting and upkeep start at £10 a month. Things like a client portal or document upload are extra, so tell me about them and I'll give you a price.
How long does it take?
Most sites are live about two weeks after our first call. It goes quickest when your service descriptions, team bios and photos are ready, and I'll send you a list of what I need at the start.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes, if you'd like to. A WordPress site lets you edit pages, team profiles and news yourself, and I'll show you how. If you'd rather email me the changes, small changes each month are included in the Plus care plan (£20 a month) and in pay monthly.
